Special announcement for Was That Too Much (formally, The Honey Hustle).
It’s time to introduce the next chapter of this podcast journey (!!!) Same heart, same real conversations, but with a fresh name and a clearer vision. My goal has always been to serve, encourage, and love you well, and part of that meant finding a name that feels like me—bold, fun, honest, and unapologetically real.
The truth is, The Honey Hustle never quite felt like home. But Was That Too Much? It’s exactly who I am!
For so long, I wrestled with the insecurities of feeling like I was “too much”—too loud, too honest, too extra. But honestly as life has gone on, I’ve realized that being “too much” is actually my superpower and exactly who God made me to be. I don’t mind asking the hard questions, breaking the ice and getting on people’s level. It’s how I connect, it’s how I relate, and it’s how I’m learning to embrace the woman God is making me to be. And I’m here to encourage YOU to do the same(!!!)
So, without further ado, welcome to “Was That Too Much”—the podcast where being “too much” is actually just enough.
Here to have unapologetic conversations about faith, life, and all the messy in-between. It’s about finding joy in the chaos, embracing the beauty of who God made us to be, and living this life fully and boldly—together (because life was never meant to be lived alone).
Welcome to a new era. I’m so grateful you’re here for it. 🤍🪩🎧🎙️✨

Welcome to our first Honey It's The Holidays Episode!!!
Therapy and faith—can they go hand in hand? In this thought-provoking episode, Mia sits down with Christian therapist Carly Kirk to tackle the stigma around therapy in the Christian community. Carly shares her “spicy hot take” on why believers not only can but should embrace therapy as a tool for healing and growth, alongside their faith.
They also dive into a deeply meaningful conversation about navigating grief during the holiday season. Carly offers compassionate and loving advice on processing loss, finding peace in the pain, and reframing traditions to honor both the past and the present.
Whether you’re wondering if therapy is right for you or walking through a season of heartache, this episode is filled with practical tools, spiritual encouragement, and a reminder that leaning into both God’s grace and professional support can create lasting healing.
Don’t miss this powerful conversation that challenges the stigma and opens the door to hope this holiday season.
